The Inland Waterways Visitor Attraction at the London Boat Show
Johnstone Events designed and co-ordinated the Inland Waterways Visitor
Attraction for the three years that it ran at London Boat Show. We created a
full size working country pub that served real ale from a 10m wide bar with
ten bar staff working full time.
The best compliment was by a visitor who wondered how other exhibitions
worked around this (real) pub that was in the middle of the exhibition hall
at Excel!
The attraction featured twenty three boats ranging from 18m long narrow
boats to 6m long traditional Thames Slipper launches. Johnstone Events
liaised with all sponsors and boat manufacturers to create and programme the
build and operation of this massive feature.
